Course Description: 

This module is one of a four-module series that focuses on more advanced practices in the delivery of online courses. The BP500 series is designed to enhance cooperative, collaborative, active, and experiential learning and to give participants the tools to develop course and teaching resources applicable to their discipline.

This course, BP500-M02: Course Toolbox focuses on instructors developing various tools (such as templates and supplemental resources) that they can use when teaching an online course. It illustrates the necessity of academic integrity by identifying important copyright and fair use practices.  It also focuses on how instructors can use their credibility to promote and address academic integrity.  Upon successful completion of this module, participants will receive an Advanced Principles in Online Course Delivery: Course Toolbox certificate.

Course Objectives:

• Set up a course toolbox for the preparation and management of course content and instructor feedback.
• Identify course goals and objectives.
• Write module introductions and summaries for student pacing.
• Establish engaging supplemental materials that support learning objectives.
• Discuss strategies for promoting, monitoring, and addressing academic integrity in the online classroom.
• Explain how they use their credibility as an instructor and a distinctive teaching presence to demonstrate academic integrity.
